Inspired by sun-drenched Mediterranean elegance, Amalfi features a full service bar, premium bluetooth audio sound system, and multiple bathrooms—all managed by our professional captain and crew. Rates start at $1,600 per hour. Please note that our pricing consists of a per person bar package, sales tax, and service charge. Additional catering is available.

01 How it works
- After you book your charter experience, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your upcoming charter such as time, location, parking information, guidelines, safety information, and what to expect.
- Popular destinations include: the Playpen, Monroe Harbor, and the Chicago River (please keep in mind the Chicago River is incredibly busy Friday-Sunday which may result in an hour wait entering and exiting the lock).
- Commercial charters include a professional captain and crew—no need to hire separately.
- The boat and crew will be yours to use for the duration of the rental period while you enjoy time on the water.
02 Capacity Explained
- The capacity of a boat is the number of people it can legally accommodate. This is determined by the US Coast Guard (USCG) and is based on the number of passengers, crew, and the size of the vessel.
- Our Commercial charters accommodate up to 125 passengers, depending on the vessel. Infants and youth guests are counted as passengers.
- The professional Captain and Crew are not counted toward the passenger capacity.
03 Food & Beverage Policy
- Outside food and beverages are NOT permitted on commercial vessels.
- A drinks package is required for all commercial charters and must be purchased through us.
- Catering is available on commercial vessels. Please visit our catering page to view the menu and place your order.

04 Things to keep in mind
- Commercial charters accommodate larger groups of up to 125 passengers, depending on the vessel. Infants and youth guests are counted as passengers.
- Each vessel has bathrooms on board.
- We love animals, however, to ensure their safety, we do not allow them on board unless they are service animals. All service animals need to have a life jacket worn on board.
- Children 13 years and younger are required to wear a life jacket at all times.
- Our yachts have exceptional sound systems. Guests are welcome to play their own music by connecting their cell phones via bluetooth.
- We are docked at 31st Street Harbor.
05 What to bring
- When going on a boat, it's important to bring all the necessary items to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Some items you might want to bring include:
- Sunscreen and other protective clothing, such as hats and sunglasses, to protect against the sun's rays
- Towel if planning on swimming or getting in the water
- If bringing young children and/or service animal, we ask that you please provide a life jacket
- Please note: Outside food and beverages are NOT allowed on commercial vessels. A drinks package is required.
06 What not to bring
- We highly advise AGAINST bringing the following:
- Outside food and beverages (NOT permitted on commercial vessels)
- No dyed items such as wigs, silly string, feathered boas, glitter, confetti, etc.
- No glass containers, which can break and create hazards on the boat
- Prohibited by the Chicago Harbor:
- No drugs, weapons or other dangerous items, such as knives or firearms
- No items that utilize open flames, gas, propane, etc.
07 Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@knotmyboatcharters.com and include your name and charter date. Refund schedule:
- 30+ days prior to charter: 10% of total charter is non-refundable
- 15–29 days prior: 50% of total charter is non-refundable
- 14 days or fewer: 100% of total charter is non-refundable
