Commonly Asked Questions
What is the maximum capacity of your vessels?
Per USCG law, a bareboat charter may have 1 Charterer (the renter) + 12 Passengers (13 total) before a hired crew. Hired Captains and Crew do not count toward the passenger limit.
For our 49-passenger vessels, the maximum capacity is 49 passengers plus crew.
Does a captain come with the boat?
For bareboat (12 passenger) charters, after booking, we provide the Charterer with a confirmation email listing vetted Operators/Captains familiar with our vessels. You may also choose your own qualified Operator/Captain, provided their credentials are approved by us prior to your charter.
For our 49-passenger vessels, the captain and crew are provided by Knot My Boat Charters.
What is your cancellation policy?
All client cancellations must be submitted in writing by the Charterer to contact@knotmyboatcharters.com and must include the Charterer's Full Name, Charter Date, and Reason for Cancellation. Oral cancellations are not valid unless confirmed in writing by the Company.

What happens if there's bad weather?
To ensure guest safety, the Knot My Boat Charters team has the authority to deem whether weather conditions are "charterable" or "uncharterable." In the case that conditions are deemed uncharterable, our team will work with the charterer to temporarily postpone or reschedule your charter to a future date.
